My story

February 13

It was just a normal day on board.The crew were doing there own thing.

As usual Zoro was sleeping. Nami was nagging,Chopper was chopping medicine,Franky fidgeting in the back,Usopp using different tools to build new objects and of course...Sanji in the kitchen sizzling different servings of food and trying to keep the captain Luffy of course out.

Where am I you ask?Well I sat in the crow's nest reading my book, while chewing a piece of rubbery gum.

'Strawberry flavor~'

I smiled.Finishing up the last of my chapter.I loved reading.I loved so many things.Sliding down the ladder,I hope on the deck.I lean over spitting out the flavorless piece.I just hate when you start to chew it and next thing you know the flavors gone.

Sitting up straight,I walk towards the kitchen.Opening the door I see a certain blond.Grinning I sneak behind him.I hear the sound of cooking oil.

Sizzle,Sizzle!~

As I get closer my grin spreads more.Once I'm behind him.I wrap my arms around his waist burying my face into his back.He tenses up.I chuckle a little.

"Y/N!"

I hum.Letting go,I go into the fridge grabbing some Rum.Taking a big chug,Sanji takes the bottle away from me.

"BUT SANJI!"

I wine like a child.He doesn't like when I drink from the bottle.

"But Zoro does it....!"

He looks down at me with arms crossed.

Nothing

"Fine!"

I march out of the kitchen leaving him behind.As I walk out I hear everyone yelling.I look around.

"I see a island!!"

Yells are captain,I chuckle a bit.I climb back up into the crow nest.I like it up here.I get a nice view and nobody usually comes up here.So I don't get bugged.Its not like I hate the the crew.I love them I do.But....You just need time to your self every once in a while.

I smile.And rest my book on top of my face as I drifted with the waves into a small slumber.

~Time skip to the island.~

I wake up.Once we get there.Climbing down they let the ramp done so we can walk on.

"ADVENTURE!"

Luffy yelled as he ran off by himself.

"I'm off, gotta grab some things.I want to try some new dishes"

Sanji announced.I smile.

"Mind if I come?"

"Not at all!~"

We walk of.

'I wonder why it is that he treats me so different from Nami and Robin?'

Not that It completely bothers me it's just....I don't even know.He flirts with others....yet he's off around me.It's like,I don't know how to describe it.

Anyway,We walk towards a little village,We go up to a little stand.Buying many different meats,and Different veggies and fruits.We walk by different vendors.As Sanji is buying the necessities for the ship,Something catches my eyes.

As I wander off,I go to the stand.A book stand.I pick up the leather cover,Running my hand over the texture, and The cover name.I let my hands roam on it.Memories surround me.I clench the book as One specific one slaps me.

~flash back~

Back in Syrup Village my mother and father had a small library in are house.So many books surround us.One specific book took my interest.It wasn't a normal book that a 5 year old would read,It was much advance.But I truly loved it.I would read it over and over.

One day,I was out in my little secret spot that I would go to ever so often.I loved it .I would see brother Usopp.I loved him.I truly did.We weren't relate or anything.Its just when mother and father were gone for business he was there to keep me company.

Well I suppose I had fell asleep.Because when I woke it was dark.I came out from my hiding area.I started to walk home when I started to hear gun shoots.I froze as somebody came out of MY house.He turned.He saw me.I couldn't move.I couldn't do anything.He started to charge towards me.I panicked and ran.

I didn't get far.I got shot at.A bullet went into my leg.My stomach area...and one in my shoulder.I didn't care.It hurt but I kept running.I ran as far as my little legs could carry me.I hid.

I passed out from lack of blood later.Night passed and Usopp found me.I was at death's door.If it wasn't for his help. I would have been dead.He helped me live.

I went back home.I needed to know what happened?Whether I still had a place called home?OR whether I was a orphan.

As I walked up to the door,I froze.What will happen after this?I slowly open the door.I saw nothing.I walked around.Nothing.I walked into the library.My stomach dropped.I fell to my knees as I saw my mother and father...Dead.Nonliving.Not breathing.And soaked in blood.I moved by them.

"Mama...."

Nothing

"Papa...."

Nothing

I stifled a cry.I knew,when I saw them.That they were gone.I just.I just didn't want to think it was true.I sat next them.Holding their hands.I cried.

~later~

A hand rested on my shoulder.I stiffen.I turned around slowly only to see him. Usopp. Tears started again.I jumped on him hugging him for dear life.

After I calmed.He held me tight.

"y/n"

I sniffled in reply.

"Ill take care of you.You can live with me.I promise Nothing will hurt you,as long as I live and protect you."

I pulled away,wiping my eyes and nose.Nodding simple.

~flashback end~

"Y/n!!"

Somebody ran towards.I dropped the book as the person shock me,Engulfing me into a hug.

'Sanji....'

I held onto him.Balling my eyes out.Sobs racked my body.He held me.People stared but he didn't care.I didn't care.

I calmed down shortly.We started to walk back to the ship.I notice something to the side of me.I turn my head only seeing a shadow.Deep down I knew something was wrong.

We got back to the ship.I said nothing after that.It was about time for dinner.We all ate in silence.After I was done I stood up.I said nothing but went to my room.

I cried myself to sleep that night.

February 14

We all awoke.As I walked out of my room everyone stared. Sanji ran out of the kitchen with boxes and the crew went back to work. Sanji gave a box of chocolate to all the girls.But when he came to me,my heart stopped.

"y/n....here you go."

He handed me a box.Opening it,was hand crafted pieces of chocolate candies.I smiles slightly.

"Thank you sanji."

I go on my tippy toes and pecked his cheek.He blushed.After his little episode,He handed me a note and walked of.I was confused.So with that I opened the letter.

"Dearest y/n,

I've been wanting to tell you this.

But it's not right to say in a letter.

I have something important to talk about.

So, please meet me tonight on the deck.

~Sanji"

I blushed a tad bit.I held the letter to my heart.Smiling.I ran of the boat.I looked for something.Something to dress in.

I went to a nice store.Considering I wasn't really into this 'fancy' stuff I went with something simple.I went with a plain dress.Nothing too short, nor to long.I went with my normal shoes, and so on.Walking out,I didn't realize it was that late.

wait....

"shit!I still need to get him something!"

As I ran to the boat something caught my eyes.I ran into the shop and bought it.I running to the boat still getting the vibe from the day before.I shook it off not minding.

I got onto the boat,Rushing on,I went to get ready.

Later, when it was time I went out on deck.Standing there I waited.

I began to hear foot steps.As I started to turn around...

I get shot.

I finally see the man.That shadow I saw prior to this.I freeze.

It was him!The one that killed my mother.My father.

Holding my wound,Sanji comes out.He see's the man.Apparently the killer noticed.Immediately he started to attack.At one point he got sanji. While he was down He came towards me.I couldn't do anything.I was to scared.

My parents faces flashed in my head.Tears started to run.But it could have been the rain.Rain that I didn't even notice.Till now.

He strikes at me.Lifting me from the ground he chokes me.He lifts me over the boat.I can't breath.Everything get foggy.Suddenly he falls.

I fall over board catching the rail. Sanji defeats him.Running over he tries to get me.I grab onto his arm.My fingers started to slip.

"y/n...Just hold on.I got you."

He tries to pull me but I just slip.

"Sanji,I love you."

Are the last words, as I fall to my death.

"Y/n!!"

I hit the iced water.

He couldn't do anything.He falls to the ground.Tears stream down his cheek.

"Y/n...."

Tears streamed faster.

"y/n...y/n...y/n...y/n...!"

He balls up his fist.

He didn't get to tell her.He didn't get to tell her he loved her to.

As he stood up he saw something.He went to go grab it.Tears fallen more and more faster.

In his hand was a golden lighter.She was going to give to him that night.
